Looking for FC Manager @ Amazon India Development Centre


FC Managers are responsible for all saftey, budgetary, people development and operations objectives for an entire fulfillment center. Responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center.

Responsibilities:

- Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable their
   functional area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed business plan.
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of  both Inbound or
  Outbound operations.
- Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers.Measures
   performance, provides feedback, and holds Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the
   performance of their departments.
- Leverages the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the
  creation of improvement plans for the functional area.
- Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the
   network.
- Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Site Leaders/General
   Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives, as well as providing
   needed support and resources for other network initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
• A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
• 5+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or 
  distribution environment
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
• Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends
   and holidays
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management,
   promotions and terminations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field and MBA preferred
• Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
• Interest in long-term career development

• Design, build, and improve order fulfillment infrastructure throughout the large-scale supply chain network.
• Provide technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects using MS Excel, AutoCAD, and

  orders, and invoicing.
• Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operator training, procedural compliance,

• Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate
  with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
• Facilitate process improvement initiatives among site operations, engineering, and corporate systems groups.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any field), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in the job offered or related occupation of Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer,
  Manufacturing Engineer, or related
• Experience must involve technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects
• Experience with complex MHE and packaging lines or process design based on Lean Manufacturing or
  Toyota Manufacturing System
• Experience using MS Excel, and MS Project, and CAD software (AutoCAD)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Engineering (any field), Operations, Business Administration, or a related and at least
  one year of progressively responsible experience in the specialty.

Looking for Supply Chain and Transportation Manager @ Amazon India Development Centre

The successful candidate will lead a team of leads, program managers and analysts that will be responsible for the entire supply chain and transportation functions. This is a huge responsibility involving two core functions of operations. The supply chain function involves working closely with key stakeholders like Retail, Warehouses and Transportation to be able to optimize inventory levels, storage and labor capacity, lead times and performance. The transportation function involves working with the warehouses, customer service and 3rd party providers to optimize the delivery network inorder to reduce lead times and cost while continuously enhancing the customer delivery experience.

* Hire, manage, and develop a team of high-impact project managers, program managers, and analysts
* Establish relationships with key internal stakeholders like Retail, Warehouse and transportation to deliver  
   the right results to the end customer
* Continuously strive to reduce costs, reduce lead times and improve performance within the warehouse by
   optimizing inventory levels, developing systems and tools to manage capacity and labor constraints
* Establish relationships with third-party logistics service providers (3PL's), transportation carriers and 
   negotiate contracts to secure their services, and coordinate change projects with them
* Drive continuous improvement of our vendor base to improve performance and reduce costs.
* Monitor quality of transportation-related services provided to the customers through a variety of
   measurement techniques.
* Lead process-improvement efforts and manage the implementation of both business processes and
   technical solutions
* Manage the technical integration including EDI with all the different vendors to ensure maximum visibility in
   the different stages of the end to end process
* Own all the metrics across the supply chain and transportation functions and strive to meet and beat the 
   goals and targets.
* Coordinate the  technical development of all the systems and tools necessary for managing the different
   processes
* Apply best practices and systems from and share best practices with counterparts in other regions

We're seeking a Technical Program Manager. In this role you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects end-to-end. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal teams and outside merchants and vendors to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.

The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current web technologies. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Basic Qualifications:

* 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
* 3+ years of coding experience in Java, C++, and Perl
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
* Experience managing efforts in Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems and/or developing large
   scale web applications
* A first-hand working knowledge of current web technologies
* Experience with business applications such as Word, Excel and Project Preferred Qualifications:
